Vietnam's trade turnover reaches 155.7 bln USD in first 2 months

HANOI, March 6 (Xinhua) -- Vietnam's total import-export turnover reached 155.7 billion U.S. dollars in the first two months of this year, up 22.2 percent year on year, the National Statistics Office reported on Friday.

Export turnover was estimated at 76.36 billion U.S. dollars, up 18.3 percent compared with the same period last year, while import turnover reached 79.34 billion dollars, marking a 26.3 percent year-on-year increase.

The United States remained Vietnam's largest export market during the period, with export turnover reaching 23.8 billion dollars, according to the report.

Meanwhile, China was Vietnam's largest import market, with import turnover totaling 31.9 billion dollars.
