BEIJING, Jan. 18 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Premier Li Qiang on Sunday sent a congratulatory message to Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on the 76th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
Li said that since last year, the building of a China-Vietnam community with a shared future has reached new heights and yielded fruitful results.
The successful state visit by Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and Chinese president, to Vietnam has charted a blueprint and provided clear direction for the development of bilateral relations in the new era, he added.
"I have met with Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh at multiple bilateral and multilateral gatherings, where we had in-depth exchanges of views on deepening comprehensive cooperation between our two countries and reached broad consensus," said the Chinese premier.
This year marks the beginning of China's 15th Five-Year Plan period, while Vietnam is stepping into a new era of national development, presenting new opportunities for the growth of their bilateral relations, Li said.
"I stand ready to work with Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh to follow up on the strategic consensus reached by the top leaders of our two parties and countries, in guiding relevant ministries and localities of both sides to enhance communication and coordination, aligning development strategies, broadening areas of cooperation, fostering new drivers of growth, and striving for more tangible achievements in China-Vietnam comprehensive strategic cooperation," said the premier.
