TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Iran beat Iraq 58-13 in its opening match of the 2025 Asian Womens Kabaddi Championship on Thursday.

Group A consists of India, Bangladesh, Thailand and Malaysia.
The Asian Womens Kabaddi Championship is now in its sixth edition and was first staged in 2005 with Indias Hyderabad as the host city. It returns to the kabaddi calendar after an eight-year hiatus.
This years competition takes place in Tehran, Iran, from March 6 to 8.
