TEHRAN (Tasnim) Omani Referee Ahmed Al-Kaf has been chosen to officiate a match between Esteghlal of Iran and Al Nassr of Saudi Arabia in the 2024-25 AFC Champions League.
- Sports news -Al-Kaf will be assisted by his countrymen Abu Bakar al Amri and Rashid al Ghaithi.
Esteghlal will host the Saudi team in Tehrans Azadi Stadium on Monday in the first leg of the AFC Champions League Elite 2024-25 Round of 16 tie.
Ahmed Abu Bakar Said Al-Kaf is an Omani professional football referee and has been a full international for FIFA since 2010.
He refereed some matches in AFC Champions League. Ahmed Al-Kaf officiated Australia vs Jordan as well as Vietnam vs Yemen in the 2019 AFC Asian Cup in the UAE.
