Vietnam issues over 2.4 bln USD worth of gov't bonds in first 2 months

HANOI, March 10 (Xinhua) -- Vietnam's State Treasury issued more than 60.5 trillion Vietnamese dong (about 2.41 billion U.S. dollars) worth of government bonds in the first two months of 2026, fulfilling 12 percent of its annual target, the Vietnam News Agency reported Tuesday.

The issuance also fulfilled about 55 percent of the plan for the first quarter, the report said.

In February alone, the State Treasury raised nearly 34.5 trillion Vietnamese dong (about 1.38 billion dollars) through the Hanoi Stock Exchange, up 32.44 percent from the previous month.
