Vietnam allocates about 40 bln USD for public investment in 2026

HANOI, Feb. 12 (Xinhua) -- The Vietnamese government has earmarked more than 1 quadrillion Vietnamese dong (about 39.9 billion U.S. dollars) for public investment in 2026, the Vietnam News Agency reported on Thursday.

Of the total, nearly 995.35 trillion Vietnamese dong (about 39.73 billion dollars) will come from the state budget, the report said.

Economists said the scale underscores the government's determination to use public investment as a key driver of economic growth of at least 10 percent, according to the report.
