More than 20 injured in bomb blast near railway track in southwest Pakistan

QUETTA, 24th May, 2026 (WAM) -- A powerful bomb exploded near a railway track as a passenger train passed through the southwestern Pakistani city of Quetta on Sunday, injuring more than 20 people, officials said.

The force of the explosion caused two train carriages to overturn and catch fire, sending thick black smoke into the air, according to footage circulated online.
