Vietnam's GDP forecast to grow 7.5 pct in 2026: UOB

HANOI, March 13 (Xinhua) -- Singapore's United Overseas Bank (UOB) has forecast that Vietnam's gross domestic product (GDP) will grow about 7 percent in the first quarter of 2026 and 7.5 percent for the whole year, local media VnEconomy reported Friday.

According to UOB, following GDP growth of 8.02 percent in the previous year, Vietnam has the potential to maintain stable economic momentum, driven by the government's commitment to growth, infrastructure investment, as well as exports and foreign direct investment.

Meanwhile, the bank advised enterprises and investors in Vietnam to closely monitor market developments and proactively manage risks amid global uncertainties, including U.S. tariff policies and escalating tensions in the Middle East, the report said.
