Vietnam's digital economy contributes 14 pct to GDP in 2025

HANOI, Jan. 6 (Xinhua) -- Vietnam's digital economy reached an estimated value of 72.1 billion U.S. dollars in 2025, contributing 14.02 percent to the country's gross domestic product (GDP) and emerging as a new growth driver, local daily VnEconomy reported Tuesday.

According to the National Statistics Office, the digital economy made an average contribution of about 13.2 percent to the GDP during the 2021-2025 period.

Core digital economy sectors, including the manufacturing of electronic products and computers, telecommunications and computer programming and data processing, continued to play a leading role in the GDP contribution.
