Vietnam's trade turnover tops 680 bln USD in 9 months

HANOI, Oct. 6 (Xinhua) -- Vietnam's total import-export turnover reached 680.66 billion U.S. dollars in the first nine months of 2025, up 17.3 percent year on year, the National Statistics Office said Monday.

The Southeast Asian country posted a trade surplus of 16.82 billion dollars during the period.

From January to September, exports totaled 348.74 billion dollars, rising 16 percent from a year earlier, while imports climbed 18.8 percent to 331.92 billion dollars, the office said.

A total of seven product groups recorded export revenues of over 10 billion dollars each, including computers and electronic components, phones, textiles, footwear and timber products, according to the report.

Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien said that if there are no major fluctuations, the total import-export turnover this year is expected to reach a record high of over 900 billion dollars, with a trade surplus estimated at more than 20 billion dollars, local daily Dau Tu reported Monday.
