Vietnam's agro-forestry, fishery exports fall 4.9 pct in January

HANOI, Feb. 8 (Xinhua) -- Vietnam exported an estimated 5.08 billion U.S. dollars worth of agro-forestry-fishery products in January, down 4.9 percent against the same time in 2024, local media cited the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development as saying on Saturday.

The revenues of agricultural products declined 6.2 percent year on year to 2.64 billion dollars, forestry 4.8 percent to nearly 1.5 billion dollars, and husbandry 9.3 percent to 39 million dollars.

The fishery revenue reported a slight increase of 0.3 percent year on year to achieve 750 million dollars.

Vietnam's agro-forestry-fishery import revenue was estimated at 3.9 billion dollars, up 11.9 percent year on year, according to the ministry.
