BERLIN -- German stocks recorded small gains at the start of trading on Monday, with the benchmark DAX index growing 46.63 points, or 0.30 percent, opening at 15,739.9 points.

The biggest winner among Germany's 30 largest listed companies was Siemens Energy, increasing by 2.34 percent, followed by online food delivery company Delivery Hero with 1.76 percent and chipmaker Infineon with 1.28 percent. (Germany-Stocks)

SINGAPORE -- The Monetary Authority of Singapore announced in a report on Monday that economists and analysts polled in the Survey of Professional Forecasters expect Singapore's Gross Domestic Product to grow by 6.5 percent in 2021, up from 5.8 percent in the previous survey released in March.

In the current survey, the respondents expect the economy to grow by 15 percent year on year in the second quarter of 2021. (Singapore-GDP)

SEOUL -- South Korea's automotive export logged a double-digit growth last month thanks to a recovery in global demand from the COVID-19 pandemic shock, a government report showed Monday.

The number of locally-made vehicles exported in May was 150,894, up 57.5 percent compared to the same month of last year, according to the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy. (South Korea-Automotive Export-May)
