HANOI, Nov. 22 (Xinhua) -- Vietnam reported a new case of COVID-19 infection on Sunday, bringing its total confirmed cases to 1,307 with 35 deaths from the disease so far, according to its Ministry of Health.
The new case is a 29-year-old Vietnamese man who recently entered the country from abroad and was quarantined upon arrival, said the ministry.
As many as 1,142 patients have been given all-clear as of Sunday. Meanwhile, nearly 8,500 people are being quarantined and monitored, the ministry said.
Vietnam has gone through 81 straight days without any new COVID-19 cases in the community, according to the ministry.
