TARLAC CITY, Oct. 23 (PIA) -- Armed Forces of the Philippines Northern Luzon Command (NOLCOM) enjoins the public to participate in a run for a cause dubbed as "Takbo Para Sa Mga Bayani" on November 10 at Camp Servillano Aquino.
"This activity aims to create an exciting opportunity for the military and the civilians to run and collaborate in support of a fundraising event for the Northern Luzon Heroes Foundation to give additional support and recognition to the wounded and deceased combatants of the command," Nolcom Commander Lieutenant General Emmanuel Salamat said.
"The foundation wants to do a little more for the heroic soldiers and their families through the support of the community. It is also intended to those who made the ultimate sacrifice in defense of various communities against the local terrorists and other enemies of the state," Salamat added.
The public may join the 3 kilometer, 5 kilometer and 10 kilometer races with a registration fee of P900, P700 and P500 respectively inclusive of race bib, singlet and light breakfast.
Students and Senior Citizens may join any of the races for a fee of P300 also inclusive of race bib, singlet and light breakfast.
Winners per category will get a cash prize, medal and finisher's shirt.
Registration is scheduled from Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. at Nolcom library and 11:00a.m.- 12:30p.m and 4:00p.m-5:30p.m. at Nolcom main gate.
