President Barack Obama and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh of India have launched their commitment to combating climate change.

A Memorandum of Understanding has been signed at the White House by the two men to increase cooperation on energy security, clean energy, and climate change.

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, on a state visit to Washington, said both countries would work together to make promote renewable energy.

The two leaders said India needed clean energy economies to drive investment, job creation, and economic growth and made a commitment to support public and private intiatives to invest in clean energy projects on the sub-continent.

India, in conjunction with China, has rejected mandated cuts in carbon emissions, saying rich, developed nations should lead the way in cutting greenhouse gases so its own economic growth could continue.

The US and India have agreed that the Copenhagen climate conference, in December, should involve targets for emission cuts for developed countries but lesser actions, such as improving energy efficiency, for developing countries.

Obama and Singh agree on climate change rules

Republican US Congress & Senate : The Climate Change bill will “decrease” American economic growth and “reduce” more jobs to America’s interior employment. NO H1-B foreign-worker visa and Practical Training to grant to Singh’s people and China’s people. American jobs will let American-born college graduates to get hired and traning as the first priority, because the Republican US Congress & Senate leaderships DON’T want our American college graduates may FAIL to payback the student-loans just because the Democrats' H1-B favor granted.
