Goodyear to buy out bulk staff

Laos News.Net
Sunday 21st June, 2009

Goodyear has begun to offer buyout packages to about 550 workers at its plant in Union City, Tennessee.

The US tyre and rubber company has been attempting to reduce costs due to weak demand for replacement tyres.

The Union City plant will also cut back on its operating schedule, getting rid of the five-day, three-shift operation and replacing it with more flexible arrangements, which the company has already negotiated with the main union.

Goodyear to buy out bulk staff

The company has already began screwing the union! They want everything that we have worked very hard all these years for and the likes of Keegan(CEO) and his 16,580,000+ a year salary and his cronies like John Rich (rich John) has given up nothing yet they expect the working man to cut his salary in half! If you ask me they are a bunch of arrogant bastards!!!!

overpaid employees

ya’ll have been overpaid for too many years. time to cut out the deadwood and let the productive workers continue. get consistant with drug testing. that will clean out the zombies without offering a severance package. save the money for true hard working employees.
