Clues become stronger for Osama bin Laden in Pakistan

The CIA has revealed that Al-Qaeda chief Osama Bin Laden is still hiding in Pakistan.

The chief of the US Central Intelligence Agency, Leon Panetta, has said the chances of locating bin Laden had recently improved.

He said the CIA had people on the ground in Pakistan to help in the search, which is still a top priority for the US.

Intelligence on bin Laden has been intensifying since a military operation got underway in the Swat valley in South Waziristan, where the Pakistani army has gains in recent weeks over Taliban insurgents.

In recent days the army has also targeted militant hide-outs in the semi-tribal areas adjacent to Waziristan as part of the hunt for some of the world's most wanted men, including Osama Bin Laden.
